I was driving home from work the other day, same way as I always go. All of a sudden a llama barrels out from behind a wall, right in front of my car. At this point I am doing approximately 45 MPH. I tried to swerve out of the way, but it was unaviodable. I was going too fast and the llama was too close. On impact, it flew up onto my hood, and through my windshield. Miracously I escaped with only minor scratches and bruises, but my Civic coupe did not. The llama had severe head injuries and was euthanized. Both front airbags deployed, I need a new windshied, hood, bumper, radiator, and I am not even sure about any mechanical damage. I was able to drive home, but it is leaking antifreeze.

I was just wondering if this has happened to anybody else before?

I'm not looking for people to poke fun at an innocent llamas death. I have very deep feelings of guilt because of this traumatizing experience. I do not feel like discussing my therapy, and it is not any of your business.

where does a Llama come from in detroit? well...around me, there's supposedly an Ostrich(sp?) farm.

Hey everyone has a good point, I also live in the midwest and I can verify and vouche that no where around here in Illinois is there any llamas......how on earth did one get out there....well mabye it was lost. Anywho, sorry about the whole expierence, ruining anything on a car sucks, especially a Civic. I've been there before and so have others so hang tight.
