Did you talk to the guy after the race? just wondering how you knew it was a 03 and not an 02. I say that because the 02 would have probably been more likely to have beat you if it has some miles on it, I've heard that the EP hatch needs some miles on it before the engine wakes up. 5-6 car lengths isn't that much..........after my test drive, I think a good driver would have OWN3D you by 10. It's all about the torque. Even if you get a good launch an Si will own you.

But, it's good to see some honesty on this site.

I think that the ignition key has changed. It integrates the door unlock/lock controler in it. Other than that i know of no other changes, other than its now offered in Blue ( I think the yellow is gone.......will it be missed?)

Anyway, big man to admit a kill like that. Gota give him respect for admitting it. well edmunds got these numbers on 2001 5pds

During track testing, the LX Sedan scooted from 0 to 60 in 8.4 seconds, while the EX Coupe hustled to 60 in an impressive 7.9 seconds. The Sedan swallowed the quarter mile in 16.5 seconds, while the Coupe gulped it down in 16.2

maybe some on has auto #s ???i thought an aito ex did 0-60 in like high 9s low 10s??? so about a second in genral difference

depends on driver to a point. a good driver id say can pull a 0-60 in 7.5s, and the quarter we have all seen that great driver pull 15.8

edit: for stock 7th gen ex.

0-60 in a stock ex 5spd is pushin it...i do it in 7.8 /7.5 with bolt ons


from racing many Si's and GSRs this sounds about right for me too.... i can usually hang with a stock si.. but a stock gsr takes me in 3rd

ive raced two GSR's, one obd2 and the other obd1.

The OBD 2 from a complete stop i edged him by a nose.

the OBD1 from a 20 punch in first. at the end he had me by a car.

yes i have an 02 si.

GSR is quicker, i was just a better launcher than the obd2 gsr

You know.. i hear a crap load about "some stock 7th gen EX" that runs 15s... but ive yet to see any proof, or actually have someone say THEY did it. Its always some guys brothers friend who lived in canada on the odd days of the week.
