ahhh yes of course the guy with the video that shows the time as 15.8 @ 918.xx mph (thats right not a typo 918.xx mph TT supra stylee) (that instance I believe is just track error plain and simple, I do believe that it can be done at 0 ft above sea level in dry 30 degree weather with a 40mph tail wind in favor of the ex) and then everyone jumped on the high 15 second band wagon with no proof because this guy got away with a track error and yes I have seen track errors occur, Only difference is I didn't go around and be like OMG OMG!!11!!!!!1!! I just ran 14.6 in my 02 Si with just an AEM CAI, I must be teh bets at driving evar and I am the WRX killar, then I posted my video on ephatch.com and now a whole bunch of poeple are hitting mid 14's in their 02 si with intake and we go start stuff on the WRX boards telling them their cars are overrated and that they are fools to pay $30,000 for a such a crappy car, then we throw in some magazine numbers to further humiliate ourselves in front of the online community sorry for the rant ( + ) x 15 = =me in 5 minutes

Alright, first off, many times when track error occurs and displays an incorrect trap speed, the ET is still right. Why? Because ET is determined from when a car leaves the first beam, and crosses the very last beam. Plain and simple.

However, trap speed is determined by 2 beams at the end of the track, roughly 60' apart (though this can vary) and uses the time the car takes to cross that distance to determine it's trap speed. They are two COMPLETELY different elements in a track's timing system.

I had a timeslip where I ran a 13.91 or something, but my trap was a supposed 607mph. ET was right, trap was not.

lastly, stock 7th gen EX's can hit 15's. I've seen it, and I know that a couple people on the site have done it. Just because you haven't seen it doesn't mean it can't happen.

I know you said you been drinkin so I won't take all you ranted about too heavily. lol

well ... imho, a stock ex can't hit 15.8 ... imo, the best driver could probably hit a 16.1 stock ...

this is the first thing said about an EX that actually makes sense to me...

/*begin rant

but my two cents: a stock Si (whether it be 02 or 03) should always be able to beat a basically stock EX, unless the Si driver cant drive for nothing. I hear people on here all the time talkin about how their EX is crazy fast, or how slow the Si's are, or how the Si's are over-rated...well guess what...i think that most of those people have never driven a new Si so they dont know at all what kind of power it actually kicks out. I drive an 02, and it is by no means "fast" but it is "quick"...and "quicker" than an EX thats for sure.

i dont know....i dont want anyone to flame me or to flame someone else just b.c they drive a different model car and that person has pride in their car. i'll race anyone and everyone i come across. heck i tried to keep up with an RX8 the other day....and you know what i had FUN doing it. so if some EX is runnin 15.8's stock, good for him...i'll race him. maybe i'll win maybe i'll lose but to be honest, it just doesnt matter to me

end rant*/
