flipper: My previous car was a '99 Stang V6 5spd. It had 17" Cobra R rims, Flowmaster 45 Series dual catback exhaust, and CAI and I thought it was the sh*t. It sounded like a V8 and because of this I always got into races with Civics/Integras/Eclipses and a even a Porsche Boxster one time. I usually won races against the imports w/light mods because I knew how to drive it properly.
The difference is, after races I didn't go onto the internet to go in an import car based forum to brag about my car beating this or that import car in my American V6 car. Reason: I knew the members in that forum wouldn't understand me and therefore I'd be flamed. It would be a waste for me alone, amongst hundreds of import drivers in that forum, to prove something.
With the mods on your V6 (CAI, thermostat upgrade, and 17" rims) you are probably running mid 15s. So yes, you will beat stock Si's and all other stock Civics. Its just a given.
Just be careful though because one day an Si with mods (no NOS) might creep up on you when you least expect it. You'll get in over your head and race it and wonder why that damn thing is staying next to you. Just watch...it could happen.
Oh yeah, not that you care, but I sold my '99 Mustang because insurance costs were insane for a V6 (I even have a good driving record) and it started having minor electrical problems (good 'ol American quality...j/k). Plus its nice not having to worry about having a car who's big brother (GT) gets all the attention. [IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/IMG]

Other than that this is just gay to be here until 5 in the morning with 2 or 3 guys yelling at eachother back and forth. But I do love the Picture of the ETHUG! That was funny, even I can appreciate that. But as I posted on another thread; Im just a racer, Ill race anyone , anywhere. Just to see how ill do. My passion is cars, and racing. Demeaning people is not worth it. Neither is fighting over the inet, Ive heard of people having beer *****, but some people Have even BIGGER INTERNET *****! oh well, gnight guys!

Then he claimed his V6 could hang with a new GT. Then he claimed any V6 could hang with a new GT stock for stock. Light turned, i nailed it, had him by about 2-3 car length for a little under a qm. Moral of the story? V6's arent slow like you think, and Civic Si's are nothing to be proud of.[hr]

Rep Power: 0 I love reading this, it was astounding to see that a domestic car owner had enough ignorance to go onto a import site to yell out that he beat a 2002 Civic SI. I drive a 2002 Honda Civic EX and my friend drives the same but SI and I beat him so MAYBE THE SAME HAPPENED TO YOU FLIPPER!!! I will say though that if you could beat an SI modified and prove that the driver wasn't drunk off his ***, then come and tell me. Happy racing flipper!
