Just got my 08 Civic SI coupe a few weeks or so ago, and i haven't really raced any one good till last night. I know a guy that has a Firebird and he met me and my buddy out somewhere, well then we got on the road and was going to play around a lil bit... Well to our luck we hit a redlight side by side... and i beat him by almost a car length, and he never got in front of me or gained on me till i let off and hit the brake I was alil proud and just wanted to post it...

I had a street encounter lol... i wasn't out to street race... it just happened to work out that way...

I agree, this has traditionally been a area of the forum where street encounters were commonly posted (more so a couple of years ago than now). I understand that some people do not agree with these types of activities, and don't disrespect your stance on this issue, but it is what this area of the fourm is for. I believe that your sticky of a particular incident of what can happen when street racing goes to far is enough to make your stand point clear. Going onto every post about street races and trying to make the person posting sound irresponsible and create a debate about street racing is not necessary. We are all adults and are all able to make our own descisions on what is right and what is wrong.

Anyway, good kill, was it a formula edition firebird (V-8)??

all we are saying is that these threads are not posted so members of the "anti-racing crew" can jack every racing thread and make it into some type of debate against street racing. I say that if you guys want to debate street racing, instead of making a sticky that says "if you post racing stories we will jack your thread", post a sticky where the sole purpose is to debate street racing, I will hop on and debate it with you.

well sorry everyone... didnt mean to cause a fuss... i just meant that the forum said street encounters ... SO ... i put my street encounter in here!.

anyways EMK20a2, it was just a v-6 but he said he had 240 hp... he had diff things on it... but my SI is a stock 08 with 197 hp... i thought it was nice it put a smile on me and my friends face lol
