2003 EM2 vs. 2006 model Raccoon
My most recent street encounter was vs. a meaty coon.
I was going about 25mph and saw him on the shoulder. The whole time he was looking right at me driving down the road. All of a sudden, he walks right in front of my car at the last moment (still looking at me) as if to commit suicide.
Needless to say, the Civic won - but not without some casualties.
The coon was dead on the spot (which suprised me) since I have seen them get hit before and still be able to stumble off the road. He did fight back though, by somehow managing to spray brown mystery goo onto my rear passenger wheel exterior. I am stumped how he managed to pull this off, since if I hit his head the poo would have gone towards the curb, and if I hit his rear it would have gone under the car... and this stuff was plastered to the outside of the rim.
Anyway, I'll chalk it up as a slight victory to the Vic. The car drove away, and he wasn't so lucky.
