i just got alex1s turbo running now and boy its running good. i took off the boost controller and my car feels much more solid if you guys read my previous tread in the FI section. im only boosting 5psi untuned.

I am going to call BS on most of those kills. I would barely pull on most of those cars. You would have to be pushing over 240 whp to beat most of those cars and although the d17 is getting closer and closer each day it isn't there yet.

ya 5psi untuned, i dont think so. maybe hes making 150whp and thats being generous. not to mention an untuned turbo is like a bomb waiting to explode.

well i did line up with them at the line and watched them in my rear view. im just sayin what happened i realistically thought i wouldnt be able to beat any of them. lol

Since he took the boost controller off, and he is not tuned, maybe he is really running at 10psi. LOL

no maybe 180-190 but thats with one heck of a tune. the only one that might be true is the si only because it makes little power below 6k rpms.

@ 9 psi on Dezod Stage 2 Kit I walked G35/350z, 300m,Mustang GT (previous gen). On the track I could only do a best of 15.0. Traction is a problem on the track but on the street its much more feasable. Remember not everyone that owns these high end cars can really drive them well. Say for instance you pull up on a G35, from a roll @ 30 mph you both hit it. The G35 owner is thinking man I'll waste this POS civic. Before he knows what happened, the race is over. It happens.

whoa i just realized the g35 has 280-300hp, same with the Z. and yea its true i know people with some pretty nice cars that drive it like a civic. i tell em hey did you know you have a fast car? they're like oh i dont drive fast. okay? why did you buy it then.

dont the 350z and g35 have the same motors. geez lots of like. hating. lol i just wanted to share my experience with yall. maybe they were automatics. and no im not boosting 10psi my boost gauge reads 5. i am investing in emanage,injectors and tune, hopefully i will be able to run at 8-9 psi. maybe il get a block guard and boost 10 hah. i might have a video of me beating that cobalt. i will try and post it up
you have to realize something on 7thgencivic.com, everytime you say you beat a 350z or a some high end car you have to have proof, well mostly on any race.... i suggest to film it, if you got a phone with video option, or just bring your camera to the races, street or track... so when someone says, oh thats bull **** just show them the video clip to shut them up....

actually the people here with nice cars could care less about em. most i see have big dents and are always dirty and unwaxed. and im talking nissan, bmw, cadillac all sorts of expensive cars. in our entire lot here my friend and i have the best (and only) waxed cars. there is a poor audi a6 with bird crap all over that has dried and become part of the paint almost.

Well, if he says raced'em and "killed'em", let it be so. I dont see him lying about it.
As far as it goes in racing: It is 50% car and 50% driver.
Today, just 2 hours ago I raced a g35 sedan, guess what - he stopped accelerating a soon as saw me pulling away from him (towards end of 2nd gear).
We can only guess and argue why, but no one knows for sure. Luck, may be? Bad driver? Good driver?
P.S.I run 8-9psi, small t-25, street tuned, pushing ~180whp/170wtq ...have almost no wheelspin (after suspention upgrade)

hah. seems like everyone here has very little hope toward their d17s. the d17 impresses me more and more after seeing it 'fly' lol. i mean realistically we got puny a$$ motors but they can really take a whoopin if everything is done how its supposed to be done. soon i will have emanage, 310cc injectors and 7-8psi of boost. i will keep you guys posted and hopefully get dyno numbers up
