hey guys. lol maybe our d17s arent THAT bad after all... i was passing this g35 sedan automatic and as i was passing him he gunned it and i downshifted and punched the gas. to my amazement there was no loss or gain between the both of us. it was dead even for the time that we were pushing it.... maybe like 5 seconds? lol well i just wanted to tell everyone about this because i thought it was pretty cool. almighty d17 powa! and yes im pretty sure he was trying to race me, he had a ricer muffler bolted on to his stock piping. like a 1 can muffler with 2 outlet holes so i heard the downshift and his engine revving up.. lol

A 300hp g35 vs a 120ish hp civic? no way, i have taken a few left hand turns with a g35 behind me with me gunning it threw the turn only for the g35 go around me and fly by me due to I was taking the turn into a two lane road to slow for there liking. i had the foot to the floor.....

If you're basically stock, the G was not pressing the gas. Believe me, the G35 is one very nice car (The VQ35 is one nice engine! be it G35, FX, Max.. etc), and has quite a bit more stink than any civic I've been in before. If you're boosted, making 220+ whp, you're situation may have been as described. Otherwise, he was not trying to race with you.

I tried to take on a G35 Coupe from a very slow roll. He DEMOLISHED me.

I had NO CHANCE in hell. I was midway through second when he just shifted to to second.

i flew by a g35 going around 85 once and he was going around the speed limit 55. as soon as i turned my head left to look at my mirror, he was passing me on the right side.

never raced a G35, but raced my buds lightly modded auto 03 Max when I had my Civic.... basically he was gone by the time I reached 2nd gear.... no comparison

I have a G35 Sedan Auto, and It walks on my stock civic easily. If the G35 had been racing all you would see is taillights. They are low 14 second cars even the sedan where a civic is more than 15second. But he may have just gunned it a little to mess with you, reving to like 3000k because beyond that by redline he would be gone.
