So this dude dude has a DX and peels beside me, so I take off later. I catch up by second in third I pull a car length and then start slowly pull more so then I slow down.

2nd time I'm in first I let him roll from behind and let him pull in front then I punch it get equal to him in the redline on first, pull on him in second and keep pulling in third, more than one car length.

Both times the DX had the advantage, since first timehe peeled out and he already was starting out half a car length ahead and I wasn't even thinking of racing. Second time I let him pass me before I punched my throttle.

Mine was a 2k2 ex coupe and the dx was a later 7th gen 2k4 or 05.
Now It might have not been a dx I just remember it had wheel covers and the newer headlights in the front. I think he was stock like me cause his car.

Now the ex doesn't really have much more HP then the non-vtec. Was I just a better driver.

He had a passenger, I was empty but I had my sunroof open if that maters. His passenger was a girl. I guess he would loose the weight advantage he had because of the passenger.
