ill come down to shreveport to Race i got a 6th gen dx with a b16 swap in it.... just bolt ons heh auto zone intake lol it works/// nology wires , and intake manifold and exhaust.... and i will rape u for all ur worth /// and i need a few extra $ lol hell ill race u for a hamburger ... my snycros are even shot in 2nd gear ill still walk on u lol.... but hey im from Alexandria,Louisiana im goin to lake charles for a car show this weekend so maybe bext weekend.. my num is 318-730-9372 call me and ill be happy to end this d17 beating a b16 myth holla back@!

I still stand by what I said before:
Stock 6th gen Si = 140whp
stock 7th gen ex = 100-110whp
That's a big difference if you ask me. Now I guess you could have won, since racing involves driving skill. So I guess my auto civic could beat an Sti if the guy didn't know how to drive stick. I don't call that a win. But then again, I compare cars more by numbers and not what they run at a track. Track runs can vary alot depending on conditions. Yeah I agree the 6th gen dx up there would own a 7thgen.

Rep Power: 0 Well people went out last night and ran into a stock 7thgen SI. Asked the dude if he wanted to run it against my EX he accepts. We head out and find a nice place to do business. We couldnt do it from a dig (I would have the advantage) but I just wanted to see what she could do. So racing from a roll which the SI has the advantage we start at a 35-40 roll. 3 honks and before I shift out of 3rd I have 2-3 car lengths on the dude. I was like OK maybe he wasnt ready or missed a gear or something. We do it again. Same results. I give him one last shot and I even let him get ahead of me and I still pulled on him like crazy.
I post this with the intent of letting people know that stock to almost stock 7thgenSI are beatable by our cars. Later that night a Mazda Speed Protege pulled up next to a guy in my club Civic and a GS-T. GST of course blew everyone out but my buddy was side by side with him until a car got in the way. So I decided to try and run him I was sitting behind him and he pulls of like he is racing so I gun it behind him. We'll I started to pull on him and could have passed him easily ran out of room. I will be getting with the protege for another official run. Will keep ya'll posted.
Sucks to have a boosted car and slow civics can run with ya.
For you haters out thier hate all you want this if for people who come on here to make their cars better. AND NO J-spec-SiR2 I WILL NOT RACE YOU. 14.2 is WAY out of my league. But thier are cars in Sh!tport that do.

Rep Power: 0 It's true. I did not witness it my self but heard from several credible witnesses that 1320 blew the si away. So to all that said it couldn't be done. Now what? He forgot to tell you about the eclipse that he ran after the SI. It blew up on the side of the road. Now that's funny. I think his cool flashing neons prolly shorted his whole car out. Dumbass.

lol well i cant goto shreveport to race anymore i took the tags off of my car i got a truck to daily drive... if there is a track anywhere close ill meet some of ur shreveport guys there.. im goin to send my motor off to get built up for turbo.. im shootin for 400 hp.. around 22 psi.. ive got a loan for 15,000 dollars to play with soo my civics gonna be a stripped out race civic in about 5 months... yay for me! ha i cant wait but if u ever see a black 6th gen with a stripped out interior and an ungodly bov riding around smokin everyone .. just wave haha

now lets look at this realistically
02 ex = 16.8 1/4 times ... the ex does not really have a powerband
add an intake and pulles... maybe add 6 -9 whp... drop your times to a 16.7 ??
stock b16 si = 15.6 has a powerband the only way i see a b16 si losing to an ex w/ basic bolt ons is if the si had a blown head gasket / warped head..
was misfiring on 2 out of 4 of the cylinders..... or maybe he used ebay mods and ****ed up his motor....
OR *and my favorite reason* didnt realize you were racing and just drives his car kind of rough and you raced somebody and won who didnt know they were racing.

SO... if this guy is telling the truth, and I dont see why not, he beat the driver and not the car. Get over it.
Also, Ive read through all this garbage and not one person has mentioned gearing. That has to do more with how a car will accelerate then almost any other factor.
You can spout off about hp and tq figures all you want, the fact is that the B16A2's transmission matches gear for gear that of the USDM ITR. That is to say it’s geared VERY WELL. The D series on the other hand is geared for fuel economy.
