That Si got smoked. They got about the same start. I'm not impressed at all with the new Si's. This just made me even more unimpressed.

getting heavier is just the way things go, meaning, as the years go by, people expect more amenities in their car, more amenities= more weight. the only civics that get a diet are the euro and jap Type R's.


being a 94, i bet it was atleast 300-400 pounds lighter than an EP, thats a lot of weight to have to lug around. even if having a hp disadvantage, the weight will more than make up for it in this case.

also, i bet there was some kind of driver error in the case of the EP, whenever you see a race, no matter what kind of car, you always have to factor in driver error

Had to have been a VTEC LS, the non VTEC ls/gs/rs arent at all impressive(unless lots of mods are done...my civic runs up there with my friends 94

if you have someone that can actually drive the si it will beat an ls.. i have raced my friends ls and i take him.. not easily but i still take him

well the integra is actually an RS so its the lightest model possible. that might have helped combined with the crappy si driver

I agree.... that Si is heavy for a compact, and it's heavy for a hatchback... kind of like the VWGTi. However, I think the sedan is one of the lighest cars in its class.

when u say the Si is "heavy". dont forget that the gsr isnt too much lighter. plus i think u can easily do weight reductions to get that car in the 2600lbs range

My freind has a GSR and that think weighs in the high 2500's. The Si weighs in the 2700's. The GSR is faster either way.

yea....if both are equal drivers, the vic will cannot beat the ls teg. However, i know that the ep Si can beat the ls teg. The driver of the EP had the most horrible launch ever.

not too mention I've seen ls tegs stock run 16.3's at the track....this **** kills me....it's obvious that the car wasn't stock

Nope, it wasn't... like the original post said.

The fact is, without mods, the Si, is just another ~16sec car that is a drivers race with many lesser cars. With mods however (read: Hondata), the K20 starts to shine.

02silver- not hating on si's its actually one of my favorite cars. anyway, the ls had i/e and timing advance. he also said he had a perfect launch compared to the si guy complaining. im sure they'll do it again. i have more to that video if u want to see it, not full races but some 0-60s with them that r a little closer but ls still wins

driver on si is not good at all.i beaten an ls with same moodification intake exhaust and lowered.my sir 2002 only fireball muffler and lowered with performance tire.SIR vs LS. i'm not impressed of that driver on the integra.if i would be the driver on the SI i will win for sure.besides the integra took off first.the SI he just went easy or i should say he doesn't know how to drive.

well personally, ive never seen a guy launch another honda as good as he does. thats where he wins all the races, off the line
