I had the oppertunity to drive a 250cc shifter kart....... that thing was Blindinly fast.

According to the owner, if it was geared properly, it would do 0-100 in 7 seconds.

For the 125cc.... If I had the $$$ i'd be racing one now. Unfortunaly a brand new F125 chassis with engine will run around $10,000 you could pick up a used one for around 5,000-8,000 though.

Looks like a pretty cool camera setup. You could probably put a system like that together with a good DIY. I'm sure ConeCam has it pretty well perfected though.

I have never seen anyone dent a car. I've seen people crack aftermarket front lips before, but for the most part, you just end up with a scuff that's easily buffed out when you get home.
Autocross is pretty safe. There's nothing but cones to run into, you really aren't going fast enough to cause a lot of trouble (the SCCA sets the maximum speed at 75 for all classes), usually the course gets looked over by designated safety stewards who look for any elements that could cause trouble (decreasing radius turns, off camber turns, high speeds, large bumps, etc...) and when everyone does the morning pre-walk, if anything seems bad in their opinion, its pretty easy to voice it to the event supervisors and get it reviewed.

I haven't done much yet. springs are eibach, stock shocks, Front upper strut bar, RSX rear anti-Roll bar. not a whole lot really.

For autocross, driver is the most important, then comes handling and finally Hp.

its very different then drag racing, you can't just throw $$$$ at the car and expect to win.

If you're autocrossing, just get the Rear Progress bar.

I'm still running on stock firestones, and from what I can tell ya, tires will make the biggest difference of anything... after that get beefier sway bars (or in my case... ANY sway bar... damn HX...) I have a neuspeed front upper strut bar, a Progress 27 MM front sway bar, and a Cusco Rear upper strut bar on the way. As well as Schroth 4 PT harness, (Zzyzx... you don't know how much easier this makes driving fast...) I'm about to order a Sparco Torino, then after that, save up 600 more dollars... for the comptech rear adjustable bar, and get me some of greys endlinks... Then get the Spoon Tie Bars for front and rear... then the KW type 3 if they ever realease it... (Have you heard anything yet Zzyzx?)
sometime I'll be getting some rota slipstreams... or if I magically get rich, i'll get the spoon sports wheels that the rotas are a clone of...
