totally ****ed my motor up. maybe the nx did it. at the end of the race, i down. miss shifted to 1st at 100 mph and about lost control, then i hear a nasty grinding sound. my crx days are over. just to let yall know.

i could have died today, im so glad i didnt hit a wall or something, when i sit and take a look at the block, i start crying cuz its just so bad. the future of this car is about over for now. not gonna worry about it till i have the baby and start driving my rsx back and forth to work. i'm starting to get low on money and have less then 5gs in the bank now just for my damn crx. i should have never used fi or misshifted to 1st at more than 100 mph.... DAMN! i even have a stripped screw as i am just taking the motor mount off. reminds me of watching that guy in a 400 hp eclipse run an m3 and seriously f up his motor.

You were actually able to put the car in 1st gear while doing 100? I couldn't put mine in first doing 30 let alone 100. Didn't the huge amounts of gear whine and the fact that you had to force it in (cause it didn't just slide in to first at 100) give you any indication? Something doesnt seem right to me.

yes i was able to put it down there. then everything went haywire from there on. anyways did you ever hear about that rsx mishifting down and blowing his motor at 16000 rpms? someones got a vid of that here. i have no rev limiter on my crx, just a redline. like that rsx. ne ways i did the same thing... blame it on my chip!

sorry to hear that about your car. your rev limiter does only that. it prevents you from going beyond a certain point by cutting off fuel. however, if you mis shift the drivetrain will still go up to 16000rpm or whatever it is you are going to, it just won't give any fuel. But it still ****s it up.

Well, you can at least say you've done something, not many have... blown an engine.... not sure if that's a good thing though, but you can always harvest what parts are left that aren't destroyed, and make a little monument to the crx...

Take some pictures of the block. with the rod through it...or whatever you have. I just have a hard time beleving you put your car into first gear at 100. The rsx missed a shift so was in nuetral when he florred it. A bit diffrent than actually getting your tranny INTO first gear and releasing the clutch.

I dont have a hard time believing it. Though 1st is an odd gear to accidentally shift into. Unless you meant to go to 3rd, but I'd think you'd be shifting OUT of 3rd by 100mph. Also not to mention that generally, a transmission won't even let you physically SHIFT into 1st once you go over a certain speed, like 30mph for example.

maybe she meant a different gear she just doesn't remember cuz she freaked out?

Its absolutley amazing how much bad luck you have. Not to mention racing while you are pregnant, and almost losing it on a 13 second run. Just kind of curious the location of this drag, what track? I think you will never post pics because in the land of Chrissy where we all have 3 hondas, are broke, and pregnant, digi cams are not available. Just be honest you have no CRX, and no RSX with a Type R swap. You can never produce pics or any kind of truth to your annoying ramblings. I think you just want attention. If you live FL like you used to say, meet up with us at any track in FL. we will be there. please, Prove me wrong. Now I dont want all the guys getting all pissed off, just let her prove herself and i will back off. If i guy was making these claims, with no proof, you wouldnt be going so easy on him. Oh by the way there is no k20a1, only a k20a, I think you would know that since you did your own swap and all.

Actually there is a K20A, K20A2, and K20A3. (RSX type S is the K20A2, the base is K20A3, and the EP hatch is considered just the K20A)
