Woohoo! Just installed my AEM CAI!
Just put my AEM CAI in my civic. So far, I love it. My next plan is the N1 exhaust and a push-button start. After that, I'm gettin the Eibach 1" drop kit...damn..can't wait.
Here's what I've got so far (tell me what you think):
18" ICW Racing EXT Force Rims (Very similar to the toxxins)
Pirrelli(sp) P7000 SS tires
WW G5 Body Kit
Carbon Fiber Guage Cluster Overlay
Mini-Me Commando
AEM CAI
I'm gonna run outside and take a few pics, and will post later....beware...My car is sooo dirty from the rain and mud around here..
Oh yeh, I forgot the worst part. When me and a friend were cutting the pipe for the bypass valve, he bent the pipe in the vice a little.. He's going to buy me a new one, and I'm wondering what the safest way was to cut it.
Updated with pics now. Tell me how you like it. TIA!!

I'm planning on just buying the switches and buttons myself. I have a guy that'll do the install (I'm gonna watch while he does it...to learn) for 70 bucks.. Do you think a kit is the better way to go?...and if so, how much are the kits?

So do you just not have a cigarrete lighter anymore?..I sorta need to keep that for charging various things.. Also, I noticed your down in Charleston..My bro lives down there, and I go down their often...we'll have to meet up so I can check your ride out.
edit: guess i could just drill a hole in one of the panels to the left of the lighter hole..forgot they were there...

Is that the V2 CAI system?
I hardwired my radar detector into the car and my phone charger........so I don't need it anymore.
We should meet up!

I was wondering if it was a V2 only because of the different logo on the pipe...I don't think it is, but it'd be cool if it was. I thought the V2 had a biga$$ V2 logo on the pipe.. Just from the picture on AEM's site..

i just checked the part number on aem's site with the number on my box, and it seems to be the origional...maybe they just changed the logo or accidently sent me a V2...if by chance it is a V2, that really sucks that it got a little bent...cuz im gonna order another one...blue this time (thats the origional color i wanted, but i didn't really care since clear=neutral)

I've just never seen it in that color. I've only seen Red, Blue, and Polished.
This is so wierd.
Do you know when you are coming into Charleston next?

I've run against my friend who has a 2000 V6 Stang Automatic.........he and I are dead even in each race. I want an exhaust and header, then I know I can beat him.

Stangs weigh almost 1000 pounds more than our cars.
also, manuals can launch faster than autos. My friend doesn't race at all, only me. So I have more experience than him.
Finally, We have VTEC.....LOL

yeh...unfortunately you do. It's really easy to cut, but just how you go about it is the hard part. I think im gonna take my next one to Lowes..and see if they can cut it without bending it or somethin.
