so. my buddy told me the other day to look into the ls swap,
because it was easy and he heard about alot of ppl doing it.
but i did some research, and my motor comes with 127 stock.
and the acura integra ls only has 140.
is there any difference??

the swap is not easy with the D17 and integ engine. no one really swaps those two. mostly K20s.

i think he has an older civic. its not really worth it imo, go for a better engine swap like the gsr.

yeah dont do an LS Swap, theres no VTEC there to have fun with. Like most people would say go with a B18C1 (GSR OBDI) is a great engine, 170HP and 122lb-ft (+/-) or even a B16A

aren't the gsr motors expensive tho?
and would it just line up with the tranny?
or would alot more need to be done than just the motor?

seems like a fairly simple swap to me, no custom fabrication or anything, just bolt it in. as for the price, it depends, but they are not as expensive as you might think. i found one on ebay for $1599 shipped with only 40k miles. thats well worth it for the extra performance and a much stronger engine. if you have some friends, could prolly do it in your garage. just go rent an engine hoist.

What car is that out of an integra? Also, can you keep the air conditioning? I guess you need to change out the computer too?

the integra GSR. those b18c have become really cheap and most are under $2k in good shape. there are tons of parts available too if you plan on building it.

friend did motor swap on his 99 GS, LS motor cost $700 and it's JDM...not GSR...pretty good price for him anyway
