Rep Power: 0 wahat do you think of these wheels on my civic?
hey ive had my civic for awhile and now deciding to do a few things to it.
its a red 2002 Honda Civic Ex 2 door coupe and I was thinking about these 17 inch wheels
http://www.wheelfire.com/scontent/Wh...hicleOption=EX
I want a nice clean looking style, im not a big fan of super fancy or over the top and thought those looked nice but sporty. This would be my FIRST mod to my car, after this was thinking of,
lowering some, coldair intake, exhaust, tint. then idk from there.

whats wrong with them being heavy? and well why 16? I was really going to 17.
and if people are really opposed to those any suggestions? I want it to have a clean look but sporty also I saw a few members on here that have these rims
what are these? I was originally gonna go with black with a red lip but they dont look quite as nice

also when i get my wheels im going to wanna lower it some to get rid of that horrible wheel gap but I dont want to lower it to the point of when I go over a little speed bump or a hill that it will scratch up my car. so whats a good height to lower it?
and the cheapest but best way?

weight and rotation mass is increased as it is further out the center.
so, heavier rims = heavy, and heavy =
1. more mass on ur wheel for ur engine to move
2. more fuel burnt due to the mass
3. decrease handling due to more weight from cornering
4. harder on rotors/pads due to the increased enursha, therefore takes longer to brake
why do u think rims like "gram lites" are so dang expensive.
compare my 16" rota slipstreams which are 13lbs to a 18 inch rim that is 22lbs (most 18" average 22+ lbs)
so back to ur post, those rims on ur first post are kinda ugly, look into something else. just my .02
