tranny oil (drain not flushed) and ( 3 qrts )
spark plugs (ngk)

why did my car overheat? is it kus i didnt put enought oil or tranny oil?

acutally, i just had the exact same problem.... except turning up the heater didnt help for me. found out that the upper hose was hot, but the bottom radiator hose was cool along with my radiator core. my thermostat wasnt opening. decided to drain the fluids and after i did, it was running just fine again. perhaps a build up in the radiator and jammed the thermostat.
but yeah, check your hoses to see if they are up to temp
