Rep Power: 0 New Vic Owner.. $1000 for first mod.. what to get?
Proud owner of a 2001 LX COUPE, here are some pics in my photobucket http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v5...Honda%20Civic/, anyways, I've saved up $1000, so what do you guys think my first mod to be? Based on your guy's responses that's what i'll do! (and i'll post new pics then of course). I was thinking a set of rims or a new stereo system (since the stock one stinks).

Rep Power: 227 im gonna go with suspension first, cuz no matter what you get other than that, people will tell you to lower it. so get some lowering springs to save you that part. lol

Rep Power: 279 Get a savings bond! I know people love modding their civics, I used to as well. I wish I would have saved all my money I spend modding though. A better car in a few more years would be much more fun. Or spend on a trip or an adventure. But if you MUST mod your Civic, get some nice suspension mods.. Teins, sway bars, strut braces ect. You'll get the most performance for the buck and will be much more exciting to drive. But remember, you can spend $10,000 moding your civic.... but its still a Civic.

Rep Power: 355 My choices would be
1)mild drop(just springs like a prokit) and rims
2)full suspension drop shocks strut bars etc..
3)header exhaust CAI and maybe drop springs if you DIY.

Rep Power: 231 in addition to everyone saying suspension, you gotta do it right. stock shocks wont last long if you go with a serious drop, so go with a full coilover set like the tein SS. after that rims and tires, and you're all set for the exterior unless you want a kit...and so goes the bottomless pit of modificaiton.

Rep Power: 260 yeah, the $1k will get you a quality drop... don't half *** it, might as well do it all at once. Otherwise tint and some stereo stuff and a short shifter... But if you got the $1k now, might as well get the big mods done first, instead of doing a bunch of small ones.

I could have bought a brand new sport bike with all the money I put into my civic, but my civic would be stock and suck. Mod it if you want!
Rims are a great place to start, and so is a stereo with subs and upgraded speakers.
