I was going on vacation to maine with a few friends in june and we were about 50 miles from home on 495 north and we came up over a hill and the girl in front of me stopped short over a hill and i rear ended her. thankfully the airbags didnt go off and the car was still drivable. we still had another 200 miles to go till we got there. and all the way back home. if i hit her any harder i would had blown the radiator. the cooling fans were less than an inch from the exhaust manifold. it made it to maine and back but thats after we made a stop to get bunji cords to hold the hood in place just to be on the safe side.
the insurance quoted me $6,220.77
it needed a new hood. new passenger fender. bumper. radiator, AC condenser. radiator support. headlights and time to repair the divers fender.
i just got it back 2 days ago. i considered sleeping in it when i got it back.
i had an impala for the past month and hated it.

were were on a highway. it was around 5:00PM. it was actually funny. she got out of the car all ready to just get down to business. no nothing. it was almost like she was sitting there in her car with her pad and paper and information just waiting for the moment for someone to hit her.

i go to the left... hit another car in the far left lane while spinning... after that i spun back across the highway at the concrete wall...
i was on a bridge... i hit the wall at 65 with my drivers side...
the truck never stopped... i have no collision.. which means its comin outta my pocket...
new bumpers.. fender.. complete suspension.. lights... front and back...door... wheels.. and total new rocker panel... new mirror... windows... and the trunk is pretty much unsalvagable

here you go... some of you may have seen these in my "parting out" threads, but for everyone else, here are some pics of my 2003 EX sedan... i let my little sis's babysitter borrow it to run some errands, and she made it about 1/4 of a mile from the driveway before jumping a ditch and taking out a barbed wire fence and 5 pine trees... oh, and just to make sure you guys cry as much as i did, i threw in a couple pics of my 'Vic showing what it looked like before she got ahold of it... brand new Infiniti Super Black paint, CF hood, new Platinum Llumar ALL THE WAY around, cleared headlights, Neuspeed Race springs, 18" Konig Unknowns and BFGoodrich g-Forces... rims were stolen out of my driveway, so the accident pics show me rolling on 14" black nasties... but you get the idea...
if that doesn't bring a tear to your eye, this will: absolutely NO insurance at all... 140 mph in a 50 mph zone while driving with a suspended license = 5 tickets and 2 court dates... the dog tags around my neck kept me out of jail, but needless to say the local cops are ALWAYS on the lookout for my car... since i wasn't driving it, i let the insurance policy expire... i had it towed out of the woods she crashed into, and it's just sitting in my back yard at the moment... if you're interested in some parts, click my user name, search for posts by me (i only have a couple), and hit me up in one of the "conversion" threads...
lesson learned: ALWAYS HAVE FULL COVERAGE! (and never let a stupid girl drive your car lol)
here's just a before and after... the rest of the accident scene pics are at http://http://s200.photobucket.com/albums/aa19/stephencushman/
check them out and pay your final respects lol

ouch some of these make me wonder if the person driving was totally wasted or what, i mean how do you go into a ditch and run over a bunch of pine trees? lol. dont let anyone drive your car! its amazing how many fewer accidents there would be if people actually focused on just driving and nothing else. looking at other cars helps too like turn signals and brakes. same happened to me, some idiot was looking at his phone and didnt see me stopped with brakes and signal on waiting to turn for a good 10 secs in front of him.

Summer 2006...
I was out running errands for work after lunch and caught some unexpected traffic. Stressed, I missed my usual signs of getting a blood sugar low (I am a Type-I diabetic). I had a hypoglycemic episode, lost consciousness and rear ended someone at a stoplight at about 50MPH. It is truly a testament to Honda quality. No damage past the windshield aside from the two airbags going off. I had no injuries except my hands had 2nd degree burns from the airbag powder. The other person was okay and was treated and released from the same hospital I was within an hour of getting there.
I was extremely lucky to be alive and needless to say, I am hyper aware of my blood sugar levels when I drive anymore.

Damn, didn't know this thread existed. On the day before Halloween, some guy was soliciting some "labor" from illegal immigrants and I guess he saw the laws and backed up into my front end. Lucky for me my manager and co-worker saw him and he didn't run. Paid me $200 cash for a little hole in my bumper. Out of 7 accidents that I have been in, 6 of them I've been the "victim", and 5 of those have been while my car was parked. And all 5 times, I've caught the person before they decide to run on me. I'll post a pic tomorrow of the damage

Pretty self explanitory. If you have a roof rack on your car, keep your girlfriend away from your keys. and yes, she is now my EX-girlfriend...

ouch that sucks, almost $1k just for the rear window. and the roof who knows if it can even be repaired. wow. did she not know you had a rack? but mustve seen it if she opened the door to get in? idk thats pretty crazy. and looks like the car mustve been going pretty quick. otherwise the bike wouldve just bumped and maybe cause a little dent.

I know its not 7th Gen... But i'll share anyways.
I was driving my '92 Civic EX-V into a parking lot on a rainy night doing approx. 50 - 60 Km/h. Some jerk in a Green Cavilier pulled out in front of me as I was entering the parking lot and cut me off. I Swerved to avoid, hit a puddle (A very BIG puddle), Hydroplaned and made contact with a 6 Inch curb. My car only had about 4" of clearence.
If you look closely you can see the hole in the transmission on the bottom right.
Yes, you read correctly, hole in the transmission.
The Rad support was pushed back about 6"
Another shot of the rad support.
Thats the rad and my A/C unit pushed against my Engine and Tranny.
So, $800 and 2 months later my car is back on the road with a straightened frame, new front bumper, Brand new radiator, and '95 transmission.

Okay so literally its been years since ive last posted. So this is my long story short. First off....here is my car before it was totalled. (yeah yeah, i know about the rack and lights and crap, but whatever...you should have seen the light output on those things in a storm. When i crashed it all that stuff was off anyways)
So i was crusing up the canyon close to my house and swerved from a rock in the road. Basically lost control and flew off a cliff. Luckily there were some trees there that i could blow through before really flying down there. I snapped through one tree and then flew 10 feet and pinned the car up against a bigger tree. When it was over my car was at a 45 degree angle and i was facing the opposite way. so 60-0 mph in 10-15 feet. Wow that was a blast. This was the outcome. (crappy pic but oh well, you get the idea)
Its all good though, i wasnt hurt at all. So i bought a F-150 after that from my buddy. Biggest piece of crap ive ever owned. So now im rocking a Mazda 3 and im loving it. I still think of this site though all the time! Spent countless hours of the night reading through all the posts, you guys are awesome. Take care everybody!
Oh yeah.....the new ride
