i couldn't find my old thread anymore, it was like 2-3 years ago when i post it, but...
last night, i was out cruising with some friends and my friend's gti(Bill) and my other friend's geo storm(Jim) raced a camaro and both 4 bangers beat the camaro by 2-3 cars if not more (i was in the bmw camera car...without a camera) and i just wanted to show all the new 7thgen owners that some times the fastest cars around town isn't in what you expected
jim's storm has been featured in import tuner, some of you may have already seen it before
-- 91 Isuzu Impulse RS Turboed/Intercooled Engine along with All Wheel Drive drive train swapped in.
-- Ported and Polished head, 3 angle valve job
-- ARP head studs
-- Titanium retainers
-- 90lb valve springs
-- Block bored 1mm over with stock RS pistons, Blueprinted, Balanced, and Line Bored
-- T3/T04 Garrett/IHI upgraded turbo
-- Walbro 190 lph fuel pump
-- RC Engineering fuel injectors (550cc's)
-- Rodeo throttle body with intake manifold port matching
-- Apexi Silvia front mount intercooler with mandrel bent aluminum piping
-- Haltech E6GM programmable engine management
-- Removed Pre-cat
-- Ported turbo manifold, Pre-cat, and O2 sensor housing
-- 3" custom downpipe, exhaust piping and Apexi N1 muffler
-- Urethane filled motor mounts
-- All hoses replaced, most with blue silicon hoses from Hose Techniques
-- Isuzuperformance short throw shifter
-- Clutch specialties "dual friction" clutch
-- Unorthodox Racing crankshaft under-drive pulley
-- large K&N conical filter intake
-- Greddy Spec B Electronic Boost Controller (15 PSI on high setting, 11-12 PSI on low setting)
-- Blitz Dual Drive Blow-off valve mounted to piping
-- Denso Iridium (colder spec) spark plugs
-- Gel cell Aircraft battery relocated to rear
-- Aquarius Motorsports Pa Nero carbon fiber hood

bill's gti
bill's gti started off as a lowly 20th ae 1.8t 6 speed running 16.5 and what not, now it's a monster that cannot keep it's front wheels on the ground, his new best time was somewhere in the high 13 because he could not keep his wheels to the grounds

-- revo technik tune chip
-- r32 front bumper
-- aftermarket exhaust that i don't remember the name
-- audi tt throttle body

My friend swapped in a boosted 4cyl into his Suzuki Swift (originally a 3cyl). That thing hauls some serious ***....
