maybe buying a new car, fair well 7thgen......need opinions on what to buy
well it looks like I might buy another car, not sure yet. I am thinking of buying another car because the air force is sending me to texas next week. And no I am not selling the 7thgen, I said fairwell to it cause it will be left here in california parked in my moms house in the garage for a few months. I need ideas of cars to buy that I can use while im in texas. Cars I was thinking of were the 240sx (the body style after the pop up headlights), crx(motor swap), or civic hatch(motor swap). Thats just an idea of cars im looking at and that certain price range. Please give me ideas on what cars I should get, thanks.
hmmm
well CRX's and hatches with swaps are kinda common. and are still FWD so if you are looking for performance, id go with the 240SX. cheap, torquey inline 4, RWD, you could even drift
one more thing, ive heard that the 240SX block is really strong, like it was built to be more of a truck engine with the torque so it could haul around the kinda heavy shell. you could turbo it for about the same price as a B18C1 and get something similar to an S14, which would be awsome.
But if you dont wanna go F/I, id go with a civic hatch or even the SI Coupe. you could make them look real JDM and have the awsome DOHC VTEC scream that you cant find in an SOHC that you are used to driving.

your gonna be texas long enough to save up for a car and possible engine swap all on military pay? how many years are you going down there for?
best bet is to buy a car fast as is which basically toss out the CRX and civic, i say go 240sx....drifting = good times!

240sx, i love those cars. i say get the 97-98 bodystyle, i love that year and it is so agressive. i plan on getting a 240sx in the 90-91 bodystyle next year for the winter so i dont have to drive my car around and it will only cost me around 600-800 to get one.
