Do the rear neuspeed race springs need the dead coils cut when being installed on a coupe?

Rep Power: 392 those are the yellow springs right? what size tires do you have? did you cut the bumpstops?
in the next 2 days you should expect the rear to be much lower and the front maybe like 3/4 finger gap...
its weird cause mitch had a problem with them not dropping low enough too, my sports drop almost as low. with stock tires i had 1 1/2 finger gap, with 215-40-18 i have 1 finger gap. i would expect the race to give 1/2 finger gap the most with LX wheels.

Rep Power: 0 I got stock wheels and tires and there is a good 4 finger gap in the rear. Yes they are the yellow springs, I guess I'll just wait a few days a see if they will settle. Thats why I was wondering if they needed to be cut, because the springs are the same length as the stock springs.

Rep Power: 392 ya neuspeeds are the same length as stock springs. i think they explain it on their site. its so when the car is lifted on jacks, the springs wont fully decompress and get loose. for example, say the springs were to be half the length as stock springs. if you lift the car, there would be a gap between the spring and the top perch and might cause it to get aligned wrong.. makes sense...
but ya just wait it out, if its not low enough, just call neuspeed. to my knowledge there isnt seperate springs for coupe/sedan for race springs. not sure why there isnt when there is for sports. i know when they only have one set of sport springs people were complaining about the sport drop on coupes so they made a seperate application for the coupe. maybe they havnt done that for the race because not too many people have been complaining?

Rep Power: 0 Yeah it has been 17 days since my install of the Neuspeed race springs. I now have about a 1 finger gap in the front and a 1-1/2 finger gap in the rear. I have small fingers/hands so it's probably at the correct ride height.
As for the four finger gap in the rear Snoopbag, you might have the rear springs upside down, which doesn't allow the bottom of the spring to "seat" in the perch correctly. I noticed on mine that the front springs writing had to be right side up and the rear springs writing had to be upside down for them to "seat" in the perch's correctly.

Rep Power: 392 there's nothing wrong with cutting a DEAD coil. it wont effect the spring rate or anything cause dead coils are only there as spacers. just keep in mind the spring rate wasnt designed for the lower height so you might bottom out. it shouldn't be a big deal as long as you dont go and cut 3-4 coils

Rep Power: 392 oh and what color does everyone have???
my friend has the yellow one. the rear is alot higher than the front.
i have the reds and the rear is actually lower than the front(well probably cause the subs) i think if i took out the subs it would even out but the front isnt too low. my sports was almost as low as my current race

Rep Power: 392 eh hasnt really settled... front i have like 1/2 finger gap and rear i have none. overall its ok. i think i need to cut some of my front bumpstops tho.
its alot different from my friends yellow race springs for some reason. his front looks much lower but his rear is much higher...
with 205-40-17 you'll probably have like a 2 finger gap... yourinmyw0rld used to have 205-40-17s and the gap was pretty big.

Rep Power: 0 Im new here and have a question. My wife has an 01 4dr ex and i want to lower it a bit. My brother in law has an integra and i installed the yellow nuespeeds on his car. The drop was dramatic but nice looking. however the ride is real harsh. Are the sport nuespeeds softer? If so how much? Im not trying to slam the ride but just trying to eliminate the wheel gap. She has the same wheels as you VNlilMAN. 17' focal f5's.

ya neuspeed race is pretty harsh. you'll be happy with sports if your not looking to slam the car. i like my car slammed so ya i'll deal with the race but ya the ride on the sports were nice...
