Coilovers on 2001 Honda civic

Hey guys I'm new on here and I need some sense of direction on a future project I might have when I get some more money but will coilovers work on our em2/es1 front struts? The front struts we have that dish around the strut of course and I currently have Lotek aftermarket struts with 2" ksport lowering springs but i want to definently go lower but my front struts looks similar to my old stock ones..... Will I be able to still put the coilovers on them? How long will they last? if anyone had done this please help me thanks

Coilovers is just a type of suspension. Goodbye are an intergrated sping/strut combo that distinctly can adjust height.

If you get coilovers, it replaces your current strut andd spring setup completely.

You just gotta make sure you get the coilovers that are made for the 01-02 unless you use reducing crush washer adaptors.

I've seen coilovers for other years that look just like the ones for my car..... Shouldn't it all of them still fit my car? I'm sorry I'm just trying to get facts and suggestions before doing this project

Re: Coilovers on 2001 Honda civic

All coilovers for 2001-2005 are going to look the same, but the bolts size changed between 01-03 and 04-05 model years. Like sleepy said, the new coilovers will completely replace the existing struts, unless you're talking about coilover sleeves (Ground Control, etc), in which case they just slide over the existing strut.
