Rep Power: 0 Deal on D-Specs
New here. Driving an '02 EX Coupe. 150k miles on the original shocks/struts and they're all blown. Same goes for AC compressor, all speakers, and I'm sure other problems. Don't blame me, it was my wife's car until I bought her a new SUV -- she apparently can't schedule maintenance visits. I'm driving the Civic now since I commute 130 miles/day for my job. More economical on gas.
While lowering and installing performance springs is not necessary for my commute, I did find some d-specs with lowering springs for stupid cheap. http://www.tokicoperformanceshocks.c...-todsk507.aspx $421 for 4 corners directly from Tokico. If anybody's been looking for suspension lately, this seems like a pretty good deal.
I do have a question, hoping somebody can answer for me. I'm assuming that the OEM bump stops and boots are shot so I'm planning on replacing them. Any suggestions? I couldn't find any fitment charts or anything of of the like. Probalby want to go with a Polyurethane since they should hold up better than rubber. I may as well rebuild the entire strut system so I'm looking for recomendations on replacement strut mounts. I've read mixed reviews on KYB and Moog. Can somebody with dspecs lend me their $0.02 on this?
Thanks
I recently had Honda shop replace the OEM LCA bushings.

Well I was planning on using the ones from the dealership but cutting the bumpstop in half for a bit more travel. Just ordered the ES bushings for the LCA, did ya put in stock replacements or upgraded to poly?

So, did you end up getting the D-spec kit? How do you like them? Pics?
I'm looking at picking up a set too, but I'd like to know some specifics first. Does anyone know how much they will lower the car? Any idea what the spring rates are? I haven't been able to find this anywhere.

At $421, is looks like a fantastic deal to me. That's about the same price as a set of Tokico blues without springs
