I am installing shocks and struts on my 01 and I cut the bump stop like it said in the DIY and Eibachs instructions. My question is, how important is it to keep the rubber dust shield/boot? I need an answer on this ASAP, PLEASE. THANAK YOU!!!

Re: ****need Advice-asap****

Thanks for the advice. I kept half of the bumpstop attached to the boot. It is sitting at the bottom of the shock. I know it doesn't do any good as a dust boot but It was late when I cut it and then realized I needed sleep......LOL It does serve the function as a bumpstop, I guess that's all that matters.
