Koni Yellows vs Tokico Blues

ok i need you guys help wiht this. I'm torn between a set of Koni yellows and the Tokico blues for my car. I'll be puttin on a set of Neuspeed sport springs and need to know what will be a better shock. I'm lookin for something that will give me a good stiff ride. i also plan on autoxing some this summer and want the best ride for it. The tokicos im lookin at are the ones on special through dezod to give you guys a better idea of what im lookin for.

well i have the KYB AGX, and i love them, but if you are choosing between the Koni or the Blues....go with the Koni's. i mean adjustable and great for auto-X if i am not mistaken. plus they will prolly work better for your lowered ride than any shock out-there!

^^ Konis are "infinatly" adjustible because there are no "clicks"....

as far as adjusting them... Its pretty easy for SA dampers

for Ride quality, tune till it "feels" good

for handling....

decrease the valving stiffness on the end of the car you want to have "stick" more and/or Increase the valving on the end of the car you want to have "slide" more

SO... If the car is understeering more then you'd like, Either Decrease the damper valving on the nose, or increase the damper valving on the rear. Do the opposite if the car is oversteering too much.

Happy tuning!

Just for an example and maybe a starting place...

For street use my Konis are set full soft on the nose and about 1 full turn down from full stiff rear (more when I go on long trips)

for Compitition (autocross) they are set full soft front and about 1/2 to 1/4 turn down from full stiff rear, then adjusted as the course needs
