Rep Power: 239 my custom endlinks
after a week or so of studying pics of grey's and hotchkis endlinks, i decided that i'm gonna make my own and i did just that and here's the catch my endlinks only cost me around 35 bucks for all the parts. and finally here are the pics i've been promising
here's all that i needed to build my endlinks
you need 2 male ball joint ends and 2 female ball joint ends those are the middle sections screwed together, their mostly used on go-karts so if you have a local go-cart store around they should have something like them but i had to order mine off a site
link for the male sections http://www.mcmaster.com/asp/enter.asp?partnum=2458K141+
link for the female sections http://www.mcmaster.com/asp/enter.asp?partnum=2458K341+
the rest is basic stuff you can find at any hardware store
4 3/8 bolts grade 8
8 3/8 washers
4 3/8 lock washers
6 3/8 nuts
and some bushings, you can use the energy suspension sway bar link bushings they come in 3/8 i just had some laying around my work.

Rep Power: 239 yea true good point on that but its a simple thing that anybody can build so thats exactly what i did. i'm upgrading both sway bars on my car and i wasn't gonna pay close to 100 bucks for them. so i built my own for half that price

Rep Power: 0 great diy, man.
I installed the progressive front & rear sway bars on my car, but used the stock endlinks. bad idea. the endlink allen wrench socket was so rusted, it stripped while I was taking it off.
when it gets warmer out, I'm definately making these and swapping the stock ones out.

Rep Power: 269 Good idea man!
I got Grey's endlinks and they've been great<--lol..
Anyways..I give you props for making these yourself..$50 you save is $50. The two o-rings on each are a great idea; they'd probably reduce noise and act as a damper no? Is that why you put them, cause mine make a lot of noise when going over bumps or bad roads..

Rep Power: 269 ^^Those rubber bushing you have may help, but the play isn't really there, but inside the head of the rod end itself..
See arrows on pic.
