Rep Power: 0 Coilovers vs. Lowering Springs
I searched and couldnt find the answer so can someone please explain the difference between coilovers and lowering springs. I have Eibach lowering springs in my car right now, i just want it to sit a little lower. Thanks for any help.

Rep Power: 0 Coilovers are adjustable for height and springs are not. Depending on models you can choise a lower anywhere inbetween 1"to4". There are two types of coilovers though. One kind is really just a spring with a sleeve and a perch. The other kind is a complete coilover, which contains the struts, springs and brackets. Some completes are adjustable for dampning too. It's pretty much a complete replacement. I personally am spending the extra money for the complete. I think they will give you a better ride because the struts and springs will be better matched and it's a lot easier to install. There is no cutting anything either. Skunk2 makes a good coilover. If you want complete, look into the B+G, JIC Magic, or Tein. Skunk2's might be around $300 but the completes will cost over $1000.
