ok, i know that there are a lot of Progress front swaybar questions out there, but i have searched and cannot find a direct answer to my question...
i just purchased a used Progress front swaybar from another member on this forum. after searching, i think i'm getting the vibe that it wont fit my car. i have an '02 EX coupe, and i found out that there have been some complaints about the progress front swaybar not being able to fit that year/model? is this true?
i believe people were saying that progress had to redesign the front swaybar so there would not be any more problems. \
my question is: will this bar fit my car? if it helps, the bar is colored GREY. i think people were saying that this is the older model? so am i screwed now and brought a useless part for my car? should i be looking for another buyer?

well, the thing is that i dont want to go taking apart all my stuff just to find out in the end that it doesnt fit. then i'll have to put everything back together.
so the bar will fit without problems? anyone else can chime in?
one more thing... you had to take off the cat in order to install this right? i brought my bar used so i have no instructions.
thanks

It depends on how old it is. The earlier progress bars may not fit EXs because they developed them on LXs. However they reengineered them and they should fit. I believe if it is grey it should fit.

I have a 02 ex and bought the progress sway for my year. It was a bitch to get in but once in fit well. I also got the rsx rear which fit with no mods. Its just a tad tight on the exhaust but only from its size.

when i did mine, it was on a 02 LX and all i did was install the Hotchkis endlinks with my kit. i know that Greay's endlinks worked i heard...but some had noise complaints. mine are quiet but in the hotchkis instructions it mentions to bend some of the frame back. other than that...im good! here's a link to some of my install pics

I have one on my car and it's an 02 EX too, and haven't no problem.......Make sure the bar isnt from an LX front, EX and LX are different. The EX has the cat where the sway bar run along, and The Lx doesn't. Now if it was a early produced product, then maybe it might be the bar itself.

Threadstarted - if the bar is grey and only 1 year old, then you should be fine.
