Yokohama Parada Spec-2

hey..
ive got 17" motegi mr7's in gunmetal coming in the mail and i also ordered the yokohama parada spec-2 in the 215/40ZR-17 83W B size. i had narrowed it down to those tires or the Kumho Ecsta Supra 712..
my question is do you all think i made the right choice, ive heard good things about both tires. also, will the tire size look good with my 2" drop? thanks in advance.
later

update: my wheels came today too.. didnt have time to post in members rides but here are some pics...

Man, the Parada Spec-2's are some of the sickest tires out right now. Not only is the tread design straight CRAZY, but they provide EXCELLENT wet-traction. You made a damn good choice.

i also ordered my yoko's...I got 215/40/18 from tire rack and their price is actually better than what I got quoted at discounttire. tire rack wanted $568 shipped, while discounttire wanted $576 "free shipping" theirs is more expensive cause the price per tire was more.....

Kind of off topic, but what grille is that exactly? And how is the fit?

I'll be running Parada Spec-2's on my 18x7" Centerline RPM's (only 14.5 lbs each) with a set of Neuspeed Sport springs and Koni's. Lookin' forward to the performance since everyone's ravin' about these tires.

The Parada Spec 2's are quiet, that's one of the main reasons I bought them in addition to the excellent wet traction.

Thats the altezza grille from procarparts.com, was around 50 shipped i think, and it fits great but i had to order the black piece for a sedan for it to look normal when the hood is open (im talking about the black piece on the front bumper that goes around the hood latch and radiator thing)

Those are the best tires out there beside the BFGoodrich G-Force, but the cool one only come in dry traction.......

I just got a set of these mounted on my new Konig Mp3 18's, and they are smooth as silk. I heard that a larger tire would make my ride ruffer, but it actually improved... except when I travel down antoine street. Texas roads suck.

Yukonart will become famous soon enough
Had Spec-2's on my car for about a month, now. Nice little race-inspired "hum" from them. . . VERY subtle, though. Got them wrapped around the new Enkei 5+'s in 17" size. Very nice combo! Wheels are a bit more work to keep clean, though. . . . MUCH more air than spoke, but I'll bet the brakes keep nice and cool. . . hehe

Oh, kinda pissed me off, initially. . . but this gal in my apt complex, two buildings down, also has a silver 02 EX coupe. Saw my tire and wheel package the day I drove it home (saw her oogling my car). Two days later. . .she's got the same freakin' wheels on her car (with Ecsta's around them). I was like. . . . NOOOO!!!!! But then I SAW her pulling up a few days later. . . . yup. CUTE! Going to instead ask her out! lol

It's all good, though. She's done nothing to her car but that. Whereas I've got a host of other things to set my car apart. So now that I'm over it, it's no big deal.

Uhm. . . oh yeah! Buy the Spec-2's! Hehehehe

I had the paradas in 215/35/18 and loved them. Although after about 3 months they did start to get a little loud. Started to sound like I was in a bubba truck that had the little nubbies on the tires. But overal, I liked them.

I still have then up for sale right now casue I got 19" RH C2evos and put pirelli's on them. I like the pirelli's a little better cause they dont have as much road noise. They are extremely quiet!

Just my $.02 though

Good luck!

Damn, CivicChick. . . . you're running 19's now? Got any pictures of your ride with 'em on, yet? I'd like to see how that looks on a 7th Gen.

Good LORD!! Bryan's car looks bada$$ with those 19s on there! I'm liking the Xenon kit, too.

What suspension is "Bryan" using? Looks really good. Not too low but not much gap if any.

I just bought 18" Centerline RPM's and 215/40/18 Parada Spec 2's. Also just installed Neuspeed Sport springs with Koni inserts/shocks. Just wondering how mine will look?

Do they have any snow traction at all, or will I have to change back to stock (sh*tty grip on dry pavement) in the winter?

Are you rubbing at all with that drop and those tires? Looks like your wheel is in the well. My 215/40/18 rub a lot on one side. Maybe I just need an alignment.

BTW : I have the Parada Spec-2's on my car. Excellent tires. I highly recommend them to anyone who plans autocrossing.
