Hi to everyone, new to here.
Have a 2000 civic DX 1.6L all stock.
Want to upgrade to turbo headers, etc but need advise on an insane idea.
Now regular 14" mags. I want to put 15" mags with the widest tires BUT I would like to turn the rims inside out so that the majority of the tire is extended outside the fender wells. Has anyone done this before and what are the safety issues.
Thanks and have a good day

You can't flip wheels around like that, there isn't a proper mating surface on the outside. Where would your brakes go?
If you want the wheel to stick out past the fender get a low offset wheel.

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one
Re: Tires and Rims
If you can find wheels with enough offset to stick waaaay out like that (we called those "skateboard wheels" here), you can expect to be buying a whole bunch of wheel bearings. Frequently.

you can fit a large tire on the 2006+ - oh, wait, another member that does think they have a newer car and posted on the 2006+ cars section. Out to the right place! moved!
I placed on the tires/wheels section too, this had nothing to do with suspension either...
