Just picked up some metal fx mfx1 rims. Put on some brand new 225/45/r18 Dunlop sport sig tires. Took rims home to mount and found the back wheels have less than 1/2" of clearance of the fender. Fronts for but there's no extra room. I'm not knowledgable on mod'ing these things...used to 3/4t diesels. How can I make this setup work and if not what do I need to look for when I sell these?

If the tire looks like it is still within the tire well then it will be ok. it will naturally bend out with time. however, my experience is with 215/45/17 and a drop. since you're using 225 depending on your offset your tires and rims stick out past the wheel well. if this is the case you might end up with body damage, especially up front if you hit a bump while turning.

Looking at sizes, it appears I can loose an inch in tire diameter if I drop to a 215/40/zr18, with the tread width remaining almost the same. I rolled the rear fenders, and if I can gain an inch that should help.
