Hi everyone,
Just purchased my first Civic in last November and I'm loving every minute of it. It's a 04 Civic VP coupe and I'm considering purchasing some upgrades for it soon and decided I might start with the brakes.
I've looked at some of the brake kits offered and I'm not really wanting to spend 1000-3500 for a complete high performance brake kit, but would like somthing better than a factory replacement. Any suggestions?

Anything that you can do to the brakes is found by searching, but its not really the smartest place to start. Better tires will make the most immediate difference in braking, and your first couple mods are better off spent elsewhere.

I know I'm a noob to the site...
And as far as the OEM disc brakes..there isn't anything wrong with them I imagine, the Rotors are a bit warped and I figured If I was going to replace them, might as well replace them with something other than the stock ones.
Tires were next, as well as rims. I hate the hubcaps, but the tires that are on there now aren't bad so I won't replace them until I need to. I use my car to drive to and from work right now and its a 105 mile round trip on the interstate.

power slot rotors are great if youre hard on your brakes, but youll go through your pads in half the time you would if you had blank rotors. The first major brake upgrade i did on my DX were rear discs and im glad I did, I felt an immediate difference, everything ive done afterward has just been 'meh' brake wise, until i went ITR on my fronts.
