Bigger tires/rims pros cons

I want new rims cuz my wheel covers are dirty and beaten up. And since im going to get new tires, might as well upgrade the rims while im at it.. but i heard if you get bigger rims, ur odometer will read the miles wrong... is that right?

nope...When you get bigger wheels you get smaller tires keeping the distance around the rim and tire the same as factory...For example..You probably have now 185 65 15 or somthing close..Go to the tire calculator and put in the numbers according to what you want rim size...Most people go with 225 45 17 or 205 45 17..Go to the wheel and tire forum under the dictonary. Pro's and cons to bigger wheels...More rotational mass slows you down, but you look good...
