17's????????????????

Kinda a noob question but i want to put some 17's on my car. my question is will it slow it down?......I know its not fast but going slower is moving in the wrong direction....I had 18's on my turbo eclipse but it was puttin down 194 whp and 180 tq so i didnt really notice anything.

I have 17's and although technically acceleration will be a bit slower I don't really notice anything.

i have 18's and i wouldn't do them again on the vic for daily driving. imo 17's wouldn't be that bad.

Increase in rotational Inerta = Slower Acceleration and you end up working your brakes harder, which can lead to a slight increase in stopping distances and decrease in pad/rotor life.

I have 17's that weigh 19lbs without tire. Didn't really notice it being slower, but Zzyzx is right if you look at the science part.

BTW my 15's I had before weighed 18lbs without tire. Not much diff. I think with tires they weigh about the same.....Hope this helps
