What are you going to buy some stonger axles or something? How will you set up your car so it wont affect steering, ride, handling and perfromance characteristics? I'm jsut curious.

How would larger wheels affect your transmission?

So the opposite is true, too, right? I have 15" rims that weigh 12lbs each. So am I making life easier for my transmission?

btw, how much does a 20" rim cost? And the tires have got to be expensive, too!

great quote...i do $hit b/c i like it, not for someone else's benefit...

i've had my ADR Model Flite 18"s for about 8 months now, so i'm using a flat tire as an excuse for a rim change...i might get the Motegi DP6 20"s (hyper black) but if not it'll definitely be the Motegi FF7 19"s (satin black/polished aluminum)...i know Motegi is made by American Racing, i know i could get some Enkei's, etc. that are lighter/better/whatever, but the fact is that i like these rims, and my car already has $5k worth of added I.C.E. weight, so i'm just going for something different, not something to increase performance...

anyway, here's the 2 motegis...

and my current ADRs are in my sig pic below...

I'm sure if he is getting 20s he wont be doing too much performance driving. He will be driving his civic like a grandma avoiding each and every pothole..... kinda like me haha

exactly...and it's not like we're welding the rims on...when i get around to a swap/turbo or whatever, i'll get lighter and smaller rims...but for now, i have 10 speeding tickets, and i'm only 20, so i'm leaning more towards looks than performance...heck, if they don't allow my car to go over 80 mph, that's probably for the better...

Talking 20's On a Civic!!!!!!!!!!!

Whats the deal I have the 20inch Prophets on my Civic and they ride fine. I have a 225/35/20 tire and have just as much tire as any other low profile tire. My transmission does not struggle or none of that stuff and my car does not look like a four wheel drive truck. So whats the deal but I guess everybody has there own view but I will be posting pics soon of my car custom paint job, new body kit, and my big a$$ 20inch Konig Prophets and all with in the next few days so Holla at Yo Boy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That blue civic looks amazing, but looks and handling/practicality are a different story, choose wisely

i wouldnt be too suprised if i saw 20" rims on any compact car. the only part that would amaze me is "how the **** did she/he fit 20's on that " not WHY. if their were actually some nice rims (rh evo c5) in 20" size, i would actually look into them and think about investing into some..

polkayman, waiting on those pics. seems like its gonna be a clean ride..
