whats a good size...

whats a good size for tires on 18"x7.5 rims... for 01 civic coupe... one friend thinks 225/40/18 is fine for it... the other says its too big and to go to 215/35/18, ne one who has 18" rims help me out plz...i need to know the right tire size...(***I have a full body kit, and plan on getting GROUND CONTROL coilovers, if it makes a difference in the sizes to get***)

DO NOT get 215-35-18. Its like a rubber band around your wheels. You feel every single bump and because of the lack of cushion, you are more susceptible to bending your rims. (hence me). If I could do it again, I would get 225-40-18. The only thing though is that you will have to roll your fenders. Don't worry its not any major body work, they just push in the plastic part inside your wheel well so the tires wont rub. Island motorsports in Buena Park will do it for 30 bucks. Good luck on gettin some 18's.

i was at stock height and 225 rubbed on my inner fender.

just get 215/40, thats what i have right now, and i think its perfect...

Brand New 215/40/18 Tires

I have a set of Yokohama Parada Spec-2 215/40/18 tires available for $400 firm. They are brand new and have never been mounted on rims. These tires still have the original factory stickers attached to them. Los Angeles. (818) 257-2329

225/40/18 will rub im drop on neuspeed sports im rubing on the front before not any more tho. go with 215\40\18 you will be happie.
