In the quest to be different... (Black Si Wheels)
Change of plans... it isn't easy to mask off the lip and coat them, so it's all semi-gloss black... and my photochopping ability still sucks.

Called around this morning... I can get them done in Semi-Gloss Black for $120... which sounds really good to me. I'm gonna keep thinking about it, but I really like the look.

I think some 99-00 si rims painted gunmetal would look pretty sweet. I never have liked black rims, from a distance it just looks like you're rolling on steelies until you get up close to the car.

Well, it doesn't make much of a difference now. Stupid fukin Honda only clearcoats the faces... so what happens to the back? IT CORRODES! I'm going back to get 4 new ones and make sure the backs are coated, because I've got 4 right now that are covered in white dust (aluminium corrosion). No sense in coating brand new wheels....

Yah... I was looking around... I think I'm gonna do them ITR Grey. I called Honda who claims that the corrosion on the back is nothing to be worried about and it happens all the time... which sounds like BS to me, considering my OZs have a protective coating on the back sides, but they don't seem to interested in replacing them. So if I'm gonna get them coated anyway, the problem should fix itself.
I looked at black on the car last night, and it just doesn't look right... not cuz it looks like a steelie, it really didn't , just that it looks like there's no wheel there at all. I'll have to look into it more this weekend... I'm not in a huge hurry.
