Questions on Hub Centric Rings!?!?!?! HELP!

I have read the top post about these hub centric rings and think that is my problem with my rims 100%. I want to go about buying them but I have almost 0 knownledge about them. First of all I was wanting to know which are better the plastic or metal rings? Secound are they car-to-wheel spacific, car-spacific, wheel spacific, or none of the above? Also where can I buy these rings online I went to discounttire.com but saw no link anywhere to buy them? If I left out any questions please fill free to tell me what I need to know about buying these rings.

Sincerely, Dan

Hubcentric rings are both car and wheel specific. I believe 2001+ Civics have a hub diameter of 56.1. What you need to know is the hub bore diameter of your wheels. My old wheels (TSW Spirits) were 73mm (I think) and my new ones (ADR) are 72, so I could not use the same hubcentric ring. Getting them is easy. Most wheel shops should have them. If not, just call Tirerack or Discount Tire Direct. Discount Tire had them for $2 each plus shipping for aluminum and Tire rack for $3 each plus shipping for plastic. Just tell them what wheels you have, and what car they are going on, and they should be able to look up the size you need no problem. The question of plastic vs. metal is a moot point to me, except for one thing. I had aluminum rings on the old wheels and the ring corroded/welded itself to the rim. Other than that, no big difference. You just stick them in the hub bore and remount your wheels.

Hope that helps.
