I know you are going to tell me to search. I did and all topics are about rubbing with respect to wheel diameter...........nobody is talking about rubbing on the inside of the tires due to the tire width and offset.
My car is STOCK and I plan to keep it stock height with just adding Tokico shocks.
So here are questions:
1. Will it rub on the inside because the width is 225 and offset is 38mm?
2. Will it stick out on the side of the car because of 225 width or it will be in line with the body of the car?
If I get positive answers, I plan to purchase 15x7 Kosei K1 TS wheels with 225/50/15 BFGoodrich g-force tires. I basically want to get lightweight wheels keeping the rotational momentum the same or lower than with stock rims.
Thanks.
Freestyle.

Rep Power: 399 1 the only possible place is the gas filler neck. at stock height its unlikely.
2 probably not.
There are more than enough topics on what rubs and where, but with a 38 offset your issue will be the outside not the inside. 4x4 style though, nothing will rub.

Rep Power: 356 In this case, if hes talking about the Faken Azenis in 205/50-15, I would say that its because the Azenis in 205 has a slightly larger contact patch then the 225/50/15 BFGoodrich g-force.... at least from what I've read on the SCCA forums.
Now if it were just about any other tire I'd agree, go with the 225.
