Will 215/55/15 fit on 15" Slipstreams?

Right now I have 205/60/15", which, according to the tire calculator, makes my speedometer .96% too slow compared to stock (which was 185/65/15). Could I get 215/55/15, which would make my speedometer .26% too fast? Or is that too wide? Would there be any disadvantage to getting a wider tire? I know it's only an extra cm of grip but still.

Thanks.

half_n_half17 is an unknown quantity at this point
if you have 215's you may run into rubbing issues if you're dropped (depending on how far)... as with your upgrade from 185's the 215's will track more than the 205's.

On a 15 you should be able to fit a 225 with minimal issues... but as Half N Half posted, that depends on how low you are

I'm at stock height.

Will this wider tire actually have a larger contact patch? Or will it just be bowed out in the middle and still have the same sized contact patch?

225 will fit? Even with Falken Ze512s? I forgot to mention that before. That's what I have. I heard their tires are wider than normal. I dunno about 225's, tho: If i get 225/55/15 that will be 1.29% too slow, and if I get 225/50/15, that will be 2.25% too fast. I'd like to stay at < 1% deviation.
