Looks like you've been over heating them..... You may want to switch the the Kumho MX if you keep doing track days, after the Falkens wear out that is....

azenis will heat up quick. I figure about 3 laps at streets of willows before the patches start falling off. But they are still the best cheap tires

i was out on the track for about 40 minutes at a time twice

the tires become slippery after about 15-20 minutes on the track

I have actually read reports of these tires chunking pretty badly when they get overworked as well. I wonder.... remember when they were just plain Falken Azenis (NOT Sports)? I wonder if they changed the compound on them....

Those are the Sports (falken calls them the Sport RT-215), your thinking of the Azenis ST-115



The Azenis Rt-215 optimum temp range is around 150 Deg, over that and they get greasy.

I have those Azenis too, I think they are more like a street tires. It heat up so fast in autoX.
