depends if you car sees lot of rain or snow, or cold weather, and on how long you want them to last....

Bridgestone Potenza s-03's are one of the best tires out there, but they are expensive and will only last you a year or so. Something like the Yokohama avs es100 or the bridgestone Potenza re-750 are both good tires that will last longer and are a bit less expensive.

Kumho 711's are pretty much the bottom of the performance barrel so any tire you move to will be a pretty big step up in performance....

I have the Neo Gens but in 18s. Although it's a 35 series, I love them. The ride on those tires are excellent. The design of those tires are great too. It combines the design for wet and dry surfaces. I has the groves in the center for water channeling as well as semi slick patchs on the sides for grip. Besides all that, the tires look real nice. I use these tires mainly for show and I daily drive with other wheels and tires, but I'm 100% satisfied with their looks and performance.

i hate my kumoh 711s. when it rains or theres ice on the road i get shitty traction. ive come close to totaling my car many times because of those damn tires. what would be the best tire for grip and rain use?

I have neogens on 17's. 205/40/17 but close enough. A very nice ride. The neogens grip very well for wet use. I've had a few close calls in the rain, but my neogens stuck to the ground. After my 205 wear out, I'll look into getting 215's.

These Michelin Pilot XGT H4s would be excellent in the snow. They have a much longer treadlife than the Kumhos. They are available in a H speed rated 215/45/17. These are not strictly performance oriented tires though, but they should be fine for the Civic.

the neo gen was specialy designed for cars with camber problems. they use a harder rubber compound on the inner edge. just something to think about. I have had 3 sets of toyo T1-S's and I love them. They are on my daily driver and I get about 15,000 milse out of them. (nitto is a sister co. to toyo so you know your getting quality)
