Rep Power: 0 anyone have 205/50/16?
i am thinking about going from stock to 16"s, but I am unsure about the ride difference between 205/55/16 and 205/50/16s. can someone let me know if there is a difference?
also...i have searched the forums and have not found any big reason why i should get 15"s over 16"s...can someone help out a Noob..with this?
all my friends say 16"s...but i dont want to hose the car...nor do i want to lose anything in the ride.
thanks

Rep Power: 0 I run 205/50-16's on my LX some of the time with no problems at all (sorry I don't have any good pics under "my ride" - they all show my car with a set of 17's that I also have)
Either the 50 or 55 series can be used, but I preferred the 50's because they were closer in overall diameter to my stock 185/70-14's. You might prefer the 205/55-16's since they have 0.4" more sidewall and would offer a little more cushion in the ride. The extra sidewall would also help fill your fenderwells if you aren't planning on lowering your car.
But you won't hose your car either way.

Rep Power: 0 50's look better on a 16 imo. plus like bigdaddyhonda said, it matches stock diameters better, so less odometer deviation. i got pics of 205/50's in my gallery. as far as ride goes, i can't really tell a difference honestly between a 50 and a 55. goodluck

Rep Power: 338 hehe ... I have 225/50/16 ... rides great, except my car looks like a drag car because the tires are so wide
205/40/17 would throw off your speedometer a lot
