My car shakes a lot when my AC is on
My car is 2008 Honda Civic and has 165,000 miles
Have changed Spark plugs and maintained it pretty ok.
It shakes when I am on a stop and my AC is on. It shakes pretty bad and have no clue why. Any suggestions?

Shake like vibration, or shake like something is rattling?
Shakes because the idle RPM is too low??
Shakes like AC is too much load on the engine but RPM stays normal?
Not really the engine shaking, but the whole car vibrates like the muffler fell off? Vibrates in drive, but quiet in reverse?

SOME amount of vibration may be expected, but is yours vastly different from others, unusual, or excessive?
Did it just begin doing this? Has it always done it?
Have you compared to another identical car to confirm yours is not similar?
Would a video help the rest of us to understand what it is you hear or feel?

I know it has been awhile since this was posted but in case anyone else has this issue here is what fixed mine. I replaced the AC Relay on mine with the same problem for about 20 dollars and the problem was solved. My 2011 Civic LX Coupe also shook hard and seemed like it was going to stall out when not moving while the AC was on. It did not happen with the AC off. The part is sold on Amazon as a power relay assembly and is part number 39794-SDA-A05. I went with the genuine Honda part. Do not buy the original part because the one I listed above is the one Honda made to resolve this issue. The original AC relay part will eventually have the same issue again. Ezone helped me with this issue in a previous post where he outlined the fix.
