Rep Power: 237 I hit a cat - Crack on front bumper!!!
So now I have this 3" crack on my lower OEM front bumper (04' Civic coupe) from hitting a cat. Does anyone know how to fix this or should I buy a new bumper. The OEM bumper alone is $200 . Im guessing $100 for installation. May the cat rest in peace

Rep Power: 237 Yeah man. I was traveling along 436(semoran) last night and this cat jumped into my lane. I was on the far right lane and there was this car traveling the same speed as me on my left. I was either going to hit the car swerving left, hit the curve swerving right or hit the cat head on. BANG!!! The cat ended its life at 50 mph. I glaced at my rear view mirror and other cars were running over its helpless figure.

Rep Power: 267 Poor kitty.. guess it was on its last life! if you can find a replacement front bumper in your colour, the installation is super easy.. just look at the DIY for clearing headlights and it shows u how to take it off.. Good luck

Dont feel bad dude, I hit a big *** dalmation one night going about 45. It put a 14" dent in my front left corner of the bumper and cracked several parts of the lower air dam. I was able to pop out the dent but there is damage that cannot be fixed now. That why in Florida they have whats called a "leash law" where you have to have a pet on a leash at all times. Guess the owner will think twice about letting his animals roam around at night in Tampa without a leash. Needless to say that this dogs last trip across Martin Luther King Blvd at 4 Am. I was lucky my air bag did not deploy!

Rep Power: 237 I just ordered the OEM 04' front bumper from majestichonda.com. Only $150. The thing is it doesn't come painted So I get an estimate from the local shop: $350 for paint (nighthawk black pearl) and installation . A warning to all drivers: beware of stray cats wandering at night.

Rep Power: 247 well i think that price is a bit steep, i was estimated $350 (for paintjob) on a 4-piece kit including front and rear bumpers and sideskirts, with all that goodie integrated clear coat glaze n stuff. Try out Maaco.

Rep Power: 250 I hit a cat too and it felt like I had hit a damn car. My bumper was cracked on right side and I had just washed the car and had tire shine on my tires so when I ran it over it went under the tires and I had blood all underneath my car and my tires looked like those furry steering wheel covers. Stupid cat...

Rep Power: 237 Lol. Freaking cats are just asking for it. But yeah, it did feel like I hit a car when I hit the damn thing. I didn't see any blood on my wheels though. My new bumper is getting painted next week. Hopefully I don't hit anymore animals.

Rep Power: 0 Armadillo wtf?! That's the first time I've ever heard of anyone hitting one of those. I ALMOST hit a possum once though. It ran in front of my car while I was doing about 50-55, and instead of running across the street where it would be safe, it ran to the middle of my lane and just stopped. I felt a little bump and heard it too, and I was like AHHHHHHH STUPID POSSUM!!! But I looked back in my rearview mirror and I saw the thing start running again so I think I only ran over it's tail or barely hit it or something. Anyways, hope you don't hit any more cats!

Rep Power: 0 I have you all beat with your measly cats and possums . Try hitting about a 200lb wild pig doing 70mph. And you thought it felt like hitting another car,.. scared the Sh%$t out of me. It was late at night, I never saw anything. I'll find the pics and post them in a few.
