Question Head Gasket Job performed, now Shifting Problems. PLEASE HELP!

VEHICLE

2005 Civic 1.7 Value Package. 225K Miles. Automatic.

JOB PERFORMED

-Head gasket with re-manufactured head (Clearwater Cylinder Heads- Clearwater, FL)
--All new gaskets, non reused
--Adjust Valves, Twice (initial after head torqued and after a few heat cycles)
-Timing belt, water pump, tensioner
-PCV Valve
-Radiator and Cap
-Coolant Flush
-Oil Change

PROBLEM

-Car only shifts into next gear after RPM reaches 3000-3500 for a few seconds
-Shifter wont shift out of Park.

During first test drive I noticed a bit of "hard shifting" between all gears during up shifting or down shifting. Drove the car for 2 days and the hard shifting got worse and worse. Then right before I parked it, I couldn't get the shifter out of park.

CODES

P0124 Throttle Position Sensor Circuit Intermittent--after clearing codes this code did not come back
P2227 Barometric Pressure Sensor Range/Performance--after clearing codes several times this code continues to come back

TESTS PERFORMED

Throttle Position Censor- Good Ground, Power at 5V, Signal wire .5V throttle closed through 4.5V throttle open
MAP Sensor- Good Ground, Power at 5V, Signal wire- 1V at idle, Voltage did not increase as RPMs increased.
--Replaced MAP sensor and had the same results. Even swapped sensors in my girls 05 civic and had same results.
Vacuum Test- Brake clean spray test checked out ok. Vacuum gauge shows 21 inHg at idle and no other bad results during tests.
Rechecked timing marks and belt, all good
Rechecked valve clearance, all good.
No cracked hoses, wires(that i can see)
All connectors were cleaned and reinstalled

Does anyone have any idea what I might be dealing with here??
Any thoughts or suggestions would be much appreciated.

Thanks!!

Honda P2227: https://www.yourmechanic.com/article...-blake-griffin

"Additional comments for consideration regarding the P2227 code Some models such as Honda or Acura built the BARO sensor inside of the ECM. These models are also the most common which the BARO sensor fails. If the BARO sensor is determined to be bad, the entire ECM must be replaced."

Its also odd that the BARO sensor light keeps coming on without the regular symptoms of a BARO light. Car idles fine, no limp mode, no sluggish acceleration. Its just the shifting on the trans that seems to be the problem.

Re: Head Gasket Job performed, now Shifting Problems. PLEASE HELP!

You have a real TPS problem. Here's why:

P2227 can be caused by a severe intake restriction.
P2227 can be caused by a failed TPS.
Your P2227 BARO code is most likely caused by one of the above, not the BARO sensor itself.

If the TPS value is much more than closed throttle position when you attempt to move the shifter out of park, the PCM will not allow the interlock (shifter lock) to release it.

Trans shifting will be absolutely affected by incorrect TPS values.
