Rep Power: 0 04 civic brake issue
Hey All,
I seemed to have a small leak and added fluid and it was ok.
Ended up moving & towing it to another city by uhaul and got here and all fluid had leaked out of reservoir and brake goes to the floor.
I filled up reservoir again, and it showed no leak. I see no fluid anywhere on the car or ground.
So now its got fluid in it, but pedal goes to floor. So I self bled the master cylinder, and still could not get pedal back at this point.
I was wondering if this sounds like a master cylinder fail? I cannot get the brake pedal to hold any pressure after bleeding today.
Also, is it possible to bleed a new master cylinder on a civic after I install?
I have no place to bench bleed.
Thanks for your help...

Re: 04 civic brake issue
Too many variables.
Need to bleed brakes correctly, abs system?
Low quality master cylinder replacement / wrong master cylinder installed / installation error?
Cracked line / leaking caliper / leaking wheel cylinder.
I would suggest you contact a mobile mechanic, I am all for DYI, but if a repair job on your brakes goes beyond your ability it’s time to call in someone trained to do the work..
