Got a 2002 Civic EX a few months ago and now I'm working through a list of fixes.
The previous owner told me that the right rear window didn't work, and now I'm wondering how to troubleshoot it.
What typically goes bad? Window motor? Relay?

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one
Re: Window troubleshooting
Test first, don't guess. Voltmeter or test light.
---------
Most common IMO:
Harness breaks a wire where it flexes in the hinge area.
Replacement rear door harness is CHEAP.
You can peel the cover back from the harness and probably pull on a few of the wires and locate the broken one pretty quick if that's really what happened to it.

Re: Window troubleshooting
Honda calls it the window regulator. They are pretty cheap and easy to replace. They sell them at the local auto parts store but I regret using non Honda parts. The actual Honda part is not too expensive.
