Rep Power: 0 Clicking sound coming from '04 Civic LX AT
Hello all,
There is a clicking sound, as if a leaf or card is stuck in a bicycle wheel, coming from my '04 Civic LX (AT). It is hard to capture on a smartphone, but the attempt is below. It's especially noticeable in 1st and 2nd gears, and it becomes louder as the revs go up.
I've tried to see if my friend or I can see anything with the hood up, but no luck. To the naked eye, it doesn't look like a belt is loose or something is stuck.
It starts at around :07
Has anyone had this before? I want to avoid taking it to the mechanic if I can fix it myself.
Thanks in advance!
-Pranav
Edit:
The car has 140K miles, and the timing belt was changed by the previous owner at 110K by a mechanic.

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one

My laptop refuses to play that.

Ok that source plays now....but there's not enough for me to tell anything of value on my end.

haha no idea
and yea there's not much to go off of; I don't know how to describe the situation any better. The sound is maybe better described as a leaf stuck in a bicycle wheel and not a card. I might just have to get a mechanic take it for a spin.

Does it get more pronounced if you turn circles in a parking lot? Try turning circles while going in reverse? CV joints click when they go bad.
